Summer is Ending Too Soon

I spent my Labor Day weekend tending to some yard work that was in major need of attention.  It was really pleasant weather for working outside.  Too Pleasant, really.  The fact that I wasn't baking in the sun is a reminder that the summer of 2010 is coming to a close whether I like it or not.  Soon it'll be time to winterize the Sea-Doo, and break out heavier clothing.  I hate colder weather.Don't get me wrong.  I like the milder, 80-90 degree weather, but it also means that the lake water is MUCH colder and that pretty much ends my riding season.  I suppose I could invest in a shorty wetsuit and extend my season somewhat.  I keep saying I'm going to do that.So I guess I should reflect on my summer.  Really the highlight was attending my brother's wedding in Cleveland, OH.  Despite the lower back problems I was having at the time, I wouldn't have missed it for the world.  The road trip with my dad, sister, and son was a great bonding experience for everyone involved.  And of course I'll never forget Jesse Smith searching for his $100 bill.  Good times.  Good times. And even though it was mainly a work trip, the recent excursion to Springfield, MO with my wife was a nice getaway. In a few weeks we'll be going on the Interworks company camping trip at Chickasaw National Park by the lake of the Arbuckles.  I'm taking the Sea-Doo even though it'll likely be too cold to do any knee boarding.  I'll definitely be posting some pics from that event.
